Director, Agent Intelligence - HYBRID ROLE

Role: Lead the development and operation of Vertex's Agent Intelligence layer, focusing on grounding, consistency, and effectiveness of AI agents within their enterprise AI strategy. Responsibilities: design and manage primitives including agent memory (personal and organizational), personas as code, skills and their compositions, and flagship agents for high-value use cases; define enterprise standards for agent orchestration, UX, and reusable assets. Requirements: 10+ years in data engineering, AI/ML, or analytics; 3+ years in NLP, conversational AI, or AI agent deployment; hands-on experience with frameworks like LangChain, orchestration tools, and enterprise AI platforms such as Snowflake Cortex AI and Databricks; expertise in full-stack AI engineering, memory design, and production operations. Preferred: experience in pharma or life sciences data domains, designing reusable agent abstractions, and domain-specific model tuning.
