Director, Advanced Analytics and Data Science - Innovation

Role: Lead the development and scaling of advanced analytics and AI solutions within the Advanced Analytics Center of Excellence to enable data-driven decision-making across Commercial, Medical Affairs, and Clinical Operations in a biopharma setting focused on cancer. Responsibilities: formulate analytics strategies, pilot innovative AI applications (predictive triggers, natural language interfaces, automation), and develop patient journey and evidence-based insights using diverse healthcare data sources. Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, Medical, Clinical, IT, Legal, and external partners; translate complex data into actionable insights; establish measurement frameworks; and promote responsible AI practices. Lead and coach analytics teams, establish standards, and foster a data-driven culture to improve engagement, clinical trial acceleration, and operational efficiency. Qualifications: 10+ years’ industry experience with 8+ years in analytics, data science, or related functions within healthcare or life sciences; strong understanding of healthcare data sources like claims, EHR, clinical trials, and real-world data; proven leadership in analytics initiatives supporting commercial and scientific strategies; ability to influence stakeholders and support AI transformation. Preferred: advanced degrees (Master’s, Ph.D.), experience with cloud data platforms, machine learning deployment, and AI ethics in regulated environments. Stakeholder engagement spans Commercial, Medical, Clinical Ops, and external vendors. Travel up to 20% for meetings and workshops. This high-level leadership role requires strategic vision, technical expertise, and cross-functional influence in a fast-paced biopharma environment focused on cancer therapies.
