Role Summary

The Director of Access & Reimbursement Training is responsible for designing educational materials and implementing ARM training activities to support Travere Therapeutics’ portfolio in rare kidney diseases. This role ensures scientific accuracy, regulatory compliance, and the highest standards of education while aligning training programs with corporate goals and product strategies. This position is a key member of the Access & Reimbursement leadership team (ALT) and will interact with key internal stakeholders including Access & Reimbursement Managers (ARMs), ARM Directors (DARs), Sales, Managed Markets, Marketing, Commercial Operations, Compliance, Legal, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a training curriculum to provide basic and advanced Access & Reimbursement training.
  • Develop onboarding programs for new hires to ensure deep understanding of FILSPARI within the context of reimbursement & access. This includes training in the areas of REMs, copay support, quickstart & bridge programs, hub services, prior authorization support, appeal assistance, specialty pharmacy integration, etc.
  • Incorporate multiple learning formats (in-person workshops, virtual classrooms, e-learning, simulations, peer-to-peer training).
  • Coordinates training at key events including ARM New Hire Training, POA Training, Virtual ARM University sessions, among others.
  • Collaborate with Travere cross-functional members to understand patient support needs and implement training that addresses treatment access obstacles.
  • Maintains communication with ARMs to gain broad perspective of market and adapt innovative initiatives.
  • Works with ARMs to evaluate and identify improvement opportunities and provides immediate and direct feedback.
  • Communicates with ALT about training needs and performance/knowledge gaps across the ARM organization.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure the rollout of high-quality training.
  • Communicates and coordinates with Provider Marketing concerning the usage and issues relating to access and reimbursement tools.
  • Involvement in potential projects such as ARM Speaker Programs, Leadership & Development Training, etc.
  • Establish KPIs to assess training program effectiveness, including knowledge retention, field competence, and impact on performance.
  • Proposes and maintains the budget for all ARM training initiatives.

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or business field. Equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience may be considered.
  • 8 years of experience within Patient Access Services (hub/call center), healthcare operations, and/or reimbursement services.
  • 10 years of experience in healthcare industry.

Additional Skills / Experience

  • Previous pharma/biotech training strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of rare disease markets and nephrology therapeutic areas.
  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, instructional design, and adult learning principles
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Well organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage shifting responsibilities in a dynamic, cross-functional teamwork environment.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and manage complexity.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically.
  • All positions have an essential job function to be able to perform face to face work with colleagues and/or onsite in San Diego. No role is expected to be 100% remote.
