Role Summary

Director, Regulatory & Contracts Compliance and HEAR Operations, Workplace Fairness, is an essential architect of both legal compliance and positive workplace culture. This role leads regulatory stewardship, risk management, and workplace fairness to ensure compliance with employment regulations while fostering a fair, inclusive environment. The role requires collaboration with senior leadership, HR, legal, compliance, regulators, and employees to uphold integrity, transparency, and employee well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Regulatory & Government Contracts Compliance: Lead the delivery of all employment regulatory and government contracts compliance obligations at federal, state, and local levels.
  • Primary Regulatory Liaison: Serve as the companyโ€šร„รดs EEO Officer and primary point of contact for regulatory officials; manage inquiries and communications.
  • Audit Leadership: Direct on-site and off-site audits, prepare responses, coordinate documents, and represent the company during regulatory reviews.
  • Proactive Risk Mitigation: Develop and execute strategies to mitigate legal liabilities and regulatory breaches.
  • Strategic Projects: Drive compliance-related projects and initiatives aligned with organizational goals.

Workplace Fairness & Cultural Influence

  • Policy Development: Advise HR and leadership on employment matters to ensure clarity, measurability, and compliance with EEO laws.
  • Inclusion Initiatives: Support and champion inclusion efforts to foster fairness and respect.
  • Change Management: Lead culture-change initiatives using compliance frameworks to promote equity.

HEAR Program Management

  • Program Administration: Oversee administration of the HEAR dispute resolution program (mediation/arbitration).
  • Employee Advocacy: Ensure HEAR is accessible, transparent, and supportive.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with employees, HR, legal, and leaders to resolve disputes early and prevent litigation.
  • Cost Efficiency: Reduce legal and operational costs by promoting early resolution.

Qualifications

  • Required: 8+ years in HR, Employment Regulatory Compliance, or Risk & Compliance
  • Required: Knowledge of federal, state, and local EEO and employment laws
  • Required: Experience conducting regulatory compliance evaluations and managing agency submissions
  • Required: Experience consulting across businesses or in a support function with increasing responsibility
  • Required: Experience in analytics to inform strategy and influence stakeholders
  • Required: Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masterโ€šร„รดs degree or equivalent experience
  • Dispute resolution experience
  • Inclusion program experience
  • Experience evaluating/managing external vendors, consultants, or HR technology providers
  • Budget management and strategic investment in tools, technology, and talent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; influential leadership and collaboration
  • Business acumen with ability to identify issues and develop actionable solutions
