Role Summary

Director, Business Insights and Analytics, VaxServe. Location: Moosic, PA. Leads development, oversight of strategic analyses, reporting, forecasting, and incentive compensation for the VaxServe Business Unit. Manages data-driven opportunities to support growth, oversees a team of 4, and guides marketing and sales support functions including sales force targeting, segmentation, and promotional response modeling. Supports creation of customer-facing data solutions and other growth initiatives aligned with VaxServe strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic analysis, commercial insights and data-driven business recommendations.
  • Provide data, analysis and recommendations to support growth opportunities, organizational capabilities, and solutions to business issues.
  • Provide direction and data for strategic planning, business management, and process improvement; work with VaxServe leadership to develop short-term and long-term strategic roadmap.
  • Oversee high-importance projects and lead cross-functional and transformational initiatives.
  • Lead development of sales force targeting, alignment, quota setting and incentive compensation in partnership with Marketing and Sales leadership.
  • Lead territory alignment, market segmentation and sales force structure optimization.
  • Use data insights to revise structure and opportunities; monitor quota achievements and adjust plans as needed.
  • Develop incentive compensation plans that reward performance and drive productivity; monitor and adjust plans as markets evolve.
  • Provide accurate incentive calculation reports monthly and annually.
  • Lead development of data-driven opportunities to support growth in current and new markets.
  • Evaluate potential partners and opportunities to expand market offers through data integration.
  • Form proposals for new data purchases/tools to increase accessibility of insights; collaborate with leadership across GBU and GTMC for synergies.
  • Support customer-facing solutions that utilize data insights in alignment with strategy and goals.
  • Own forecasting model for VaxServe BU; maintain accuracy for rolling forecast, strategic planning, and annual budget.
  • Lead development of BU forecast model in line with global timelines; provide trends and insights for accurate assumptions.
  • Develop new forecasting methods across market segments; align with analytics and leadership.
  • Collaborate with Sanofi Analytics, Franchise, and GTMC for baseline forecasts and segment-level alignment.
  • Improve data accessibility across functions through systems, self-service models, and reporting.
  • Maintain integrity of marketing and sales data; explore data integration across databases; develop self-service reporting tools.
  • Identify information needs for business planning across Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Business Development; explore new data sources.
  • Lead and develop the team; support professional growth and cross-functional stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

  • Education/Experience: MA/MS and 10 years of experience in sales/marketing analytics and operations in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry; OR BA/BS and 10 years in the same domain.
  • Capabilities: 10+ years in sales/marketing analytics and operations in pharmaceutical/biotech.
  • Experience with Veeva and/or SFDC for field team performance management.
  • Proficiency in developing complex dashboards in BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy).
  • 5+ years experience with IQVIA (DDD, Xponent), claims data (Compile, MarketScan, Optum), and large client data (Definitive Health, IQVIA OneKey).
  • Proficiency in R/Python and data extraction tools such as SQL.
  • Prior experience designing, implementing, and managing incentive compensation plans.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and understanding of sales/marketing practices.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, high emotional intelligence, and ability to advise senior executives.
  • Strong influencing skills, creativity, and ability to manage multiple complex demands.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; experience leading a team of at least 3 analysts.
