Role Summary
Digital Product Senior Manager will lead and coordinate the execution of high-impact digital products that advance Amgen’s digital transformation. You will translate Amgen’s digital strategy into actionable product roadmaps with clear outcomes, milestones, and value measures. You will manage and prioritize a balanced product backlog, incorporating new feature development, technical debt remediation, and maintenance. You will leverage data and AI-driven insights to inform prioritization, product design, and decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Translate Amgen’s digital strategy into actionable product roadmaps with clear outcomes, milestones, and value measures.
- Lead continuous product discovery to understand user needs, pain points, workflows, and opportunities, integrating insights from research, testing, and analytics.
- Develop and maintain a long-range product vision aligned with business strategies, technology roadmaps, enterprise platform standards, and AI adoption goals.
- Manage and prioritize a balanced product backlog, incorporating new feature development, technical debt remediation, and maintenance.
- Champion AI-native PDLC tools and practices to accelerate discovery, prototyping, and delivery.
- Continuously leverage data and AI-driven insights to inform prioritization, product design, and decision-making.
- Partner with Data and Technology teams to evolve Amgen’s digital architecture toward modular, future-ready products and platforms.
- Integrate AI-based automation and intelligence into the product lifecycle to improve efficiency, scalability, and user impact.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives and key results (OKRs) to measure success for the relevant products.
- Ensure that all digital initiatives within the area are tracked for outcome-based value realization, measuring impact on business performance, efficiency, and user experience.
Qualifications
- Required: Doctorate degree and 2 years of Digital Product Management experience
- Required: Master’s degree and 4 years of Digital Product Management experience
- Required: Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Digital Product Management experience
- Required: Associate’s degree and 8 years of Digital Product Management experience
- Required: High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Digital Product Management experience
- Preferred: Proven “T-shaped” digital product leader, equally fluent in business strategy, customer experience, and digital technology within a defined domain or portfolio
- Preferred: Experience embedding AI-enabled, data-driven, and outcome-oriented product development lifecycle practices at the product level
- Preferred: Operates with a strong customer-first mindset, balancing insight, creativity, and evidence-based decision-making
- Preferred: Strong working knowledge of Agile and Scaled Agile (SAFe) methodologies and tools, with experience embedding agile practices within teams
- Preferred: Skilled in designing and evolving end-to-end product execution approaches, from discovery through launch, ensuring usability, feasibility, and viability
- Preferred: Strong understanding of technology ecosystems, data platforms, and digital architecture principles as applied to products and platforms
- Preferred: Demonstrated ability to lead and scale product teams or product groups
- Preferred: Experience translating product strategy and aligning stakeholders across functions
- Preferred: Demonstrated strength in stakeholder management, with the ability to influence managers / sr. professionals and align diverse teams toward a common vision
- Preferred: Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, including the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear business narratives
- Preferred: Experience mentoring associate product managers / senior individual contributors, and developing future leaders in digital product disciplines
- Preferred: Five or more years of progressive experience in digital product management, ideally spanning product strategy, product operations, and delivery
- Preferred: Fluency in AI-native product development, including generative AI workflows, agentic capabilities, rapid prototyping, and responsible AI principles
