Role Summary
Product Owner - NGS & Genomics Platforms to join the In Silico Transversal Data Analytics team within Digital R&D. This role supports the development and implementation of cross-functional in silico capabilities across R&D. You will own end-to-end execution of critical platform migrations and capability onboarding initiatives, collaborating with the Head of In Silico Data Analytics Products to accelerate portfolio delivery and enhance user experience. This position is suited for a mid-career product professional with bioinformatics expertise to contribute to Sanofi's digital transformation in drug discovery and translational research.
Responsibilities
- Own the planning and execution of analytics platform optimization and migrations.
- Lead user research, requirements gathering, workflow analysis across R&D functions.
- Coordinate with technical delivery teams to ensure robust implementation and data integrity; manage use case definitions for SaaS projects.
- Manage day-to-day vendor relationships and operational coordination.
- Create and execute user adoption strategies for platform transitions through training materials, documentation, and user enablement programs.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Monitor usage metrics and user satisfaction to measure adoption success.
- Identify and address barriers to adoption across different business functions.
- Support omics strategy development through user discovery and landscape analysis; evaluate emerging technologies and new capability opportunities.
- Collaborate with technical Product Owners and scientific stakeholders to make strategic platform decisions.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's degree in bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, or related field with 3–5 years of experience in bioinformatics, genomics platforms, or computational biology research; OR Bachelor's degree in business administration, Health Data Science, or Digital Health or related field with 3–5 years of experience in digital transformation or life sciences product management; OR 1–3 years of product management/ownership experience or experience with data foundations, cloud-based solutions, or data and digital transformations; demonstrated experience with platform migrations or technology transitions.
- Required: Hands-on experience with NGS pipelines (bioinformatics, alignment, variant calling, annotation & normalization); understanding of multi-omics data types (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics); experience with cloud-based genomics analysis platforms.
- Required: Stakeholder management across technical, scientific, and digital process teams; platform migration or technology transition experience; user research and requirements gathering; change management and user adoption strategies; experience with knowledge management tools (Confluence, Sharepoint).
- Required: Strong written and verbal communication with scientific audiences; leadership and alignment with business process stakeholders; cross-functional collaboration and conflict resolution; technical writing and documentation; self-starter with ability to work independently; problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Preferred: Masters/PhD in relevant field; prior pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience; experience with R&D digital transformation in biopharma; experience with Sanofi platforms or similar enterprise environments; project management certification (PMP, Certified Scrum Master); experience with vendor management and contract coordination; knowledge of FDA/EMA regulatory requirements.
