Role Summary

Digital Legal Office Culture Lead responsible for fostering a culture of privacy awareness, ethical data handling, and accountability within Lilly's data governance, privacy, cybersecurity, and AI functions. Leads enterprise-wide training, communications, and stakeholder advocacy to embed privacy principles into daily operations and supports governance activities.

Responsibilities

  • Own the development and execution of enterprise-wide Privacy & AI training and awareness strategy, aligning with the DLO Governance Framework to influence culture.
  • Serve as a key resource and advisor for DLO culture initiatives and Organizational Change Management (OCM), shaping the approach to Privacy & AI risk and compliance and influencing senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Lead large-scale culture and training projects, managing budgets and resources.
  • Oversee planning, execution, and measurement of training programs to meet organizational needs and compliance requirements.
  • Anticipate changes in Privacy and AI regulations and organizational needs; develop proactive action plans to address risks and opportunities.
  • Resolve complex privacy training and culture challenges impacting the Digital Legal Office and related business areas.
  • Own and manage DLO content channels (intranet, newsfeed, social groups, AI chatbots, SharePoint/Teams).
  • Develop and deliver internal training and communications to support maturity of Privacy and AI risk and compliance.
  • Plan and deliver Data Privacy Week, DLO collaboration days, and full team meetings; support DLO control owners with communications and OCM; manage onboarding/offboarding and training plans.
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and technical teams to embed key messages into digital transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Organizational Leadership, Organizational Management, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
  • Required: 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Required: 3+ years in Learning & Development, Training & Awareness, Communications, and/or OCM roles.
  • Required: Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis (no visa sponsorship).

Skills

  • Master’s degree preferred in related fields.
  • Experience leading enterprise-wide Training & Awareness programs for Privacy or Security teams.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills for stakeholder coordination and large meetings.
  • OCM experience; Prosci certification a plus.
  • Experience leading learning transformation initiatives.
  • Technical proficiency with AI tools, SharePoint/Teams, and communication platforms.
  • Ability to train and support internal and external stakeholders; cross-functional and cross-cultural collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented.
  • Leadership to influence and drive change through strategic risk management.
  • Customer-focused mindset with track record of scalable solutions; proven ability to lead large, complex projects and budgets.
  • Understanding of privacy laws/regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and global application; familiarity with NIST AI RMF, NIST Privacy Framework, ISO standards, NIST CSF, EU AI Act, GDPR, CPRA, HIPAA.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
