Digital Engineering Data & AI Engineer (New Brunswick, NJ)
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build structured BIM/engineering data models that translate standards into reusable digital assets; support analytics/reporting and consistent/scalable BIM data use.
- Enable data-driven workflows across the IDEA lifecycle (Ideation, Definition, Execution, Assessment), including automated validation against PD Standards.
- Develop AI-enabled engineering tools and applications; build search/knowledge capabilities for standards and BIM data; automate workflows to reduce manual effort.
- Create dashboards/reports to deliver insights from BIM/engineering data; use analytics/ML to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
- Build and maintain data pipelines and integrations connecting BIM platforms (e.g., Revit, FORMA, Building Connected) with digital engineering tools and structured sources; ensure data quality and alignment with BIM standards.
- Collaborate with the BIM Data Model Lead and cross-functional teams to align with standards/governance and support adoption of BIM-enabled workflows.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s (or equivalent) in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
- Required: 2–4 years delivering data/analytics/AI solutions; Python or R; strong SQL; experience with structured/unstructured data models/pipelines/dashboards/apps; strong problem-solving; clear communication to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Preferred: Digital Engineering/BIM/model-based workflows; Project Delivery Standards/structured requirements; AI/ML/NLP/automation; cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) and big data/MLOps; NLP methods (e.g., RAG, agentic workflows) and prompt engineering.
