The Digital Designer designs engaging, user-centered digital experiences across web and campaign-driven touchpoints within an in-house creative team, partnering with UI/UX, development, and marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Create dynamic designs for web, email, social, digital presentations, digital literature, tradeshow experiences, wireframes, and prototypes using Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
- Add micro-interactions and motion concepts (UI animations, transitions, hover states, simple Lottie/GIF-style assets)
- Translate brand systems into flexible, scalable digital experiences
- Partner with UI/UX teams in syncs, reviews, and working sessions
- Bridge creative, technical, and strategic needs; document best practices and informally train others on new processes/tools/design system updates
- Improve cross-functional workflows and ensure efficient, consistent handoffs between Creative, UI/UX, and development
- Design with CMS constraints in mind; support page building/content layout (preference: Drupal 11)
- Apply HTML/CSS literacy to inform layout decisions and component behavior
- Maintain brand consistency; apply and evolve design system standards
- Ensure accessibility, responsiveness, and performance considerations are embedded in designs
Required/Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in digital design or graphic design focused on web/mobile interfaces
- Bachelorβs degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Digital Media, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Portfolio demonstrating strong web/digital collateral (email, social, landing pages, digital advertising) and systems thinking
- Strong digital design foundation (layout, typography, color, hierarchy, usability)
- User-centered design principles; wireframing/prototyping; UI component creation
- Some experience with interactive/responsive web experiences; systems/components/reusable patterns mindset
- Familiarity with AI-powered design tools; ability to evaluate/refine AI outputs for brand alignment and quality
- Proficiency: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and Figma
- Strong CMS experience (preference: Drupal 11); familiarity with Bynder and Monday.com (or similar)
- Strong verbal/written communication; ability to create guidelines/process frameworks
- HTML/CSS literacy; ability to collaborate with developers within technical limitations
