Role Summary
Role: Digital Consumer Experience Designer. Location: Morristown, NJ; Cambridge, MA. We are seeking a talented UX/UI Designer to join a growing product and experience team and help shape the user experience of a health management platform. Translate user needs, business requirements, and strategic goals into intuitive, engaging design. Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to create a seamless experience for users and their care circles, with experience in consumer health applications preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to the end-to-end design process, including detailed UI specifications and visual design.
- Develop a deep understanding of users, their motivations, and care circle dynamics through user research, usability testing, and data analysis in collaboration with product and user research teams.
- Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that effectively communicate design ideas and solutions.
- Design intuitive and accessible user interfaces that are consistent with brand guidelines and design system.
- Collaborate with product managers to define product features and translate them into user-centered design solutions.
- Work with engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of designs.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Stay up-to-date with UX/UI trends, best practices, and technologies, especially in digital health.
- Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of the design system.
- Advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience (ideally 3+ years) as a UX/UI Designer, preferably with consumer-facing digital products.
- Strongly preferred: Experience designing for consumer health applications, with understanding of health data privacy (HIPAA), accessibility standards (WCAG), and user behavior in health management.
- A strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions and understanding of UX principles and UI best practices.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools (Figma, Miro, Adobe XD).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design methodologies and translating research insights into actionable design decisions.
- Passion for improving people's lives through thoughtful and effective design.
- Familiarity with agile development processes.
