Digital Architect

Role: AVS Digital Architect managing connectivity and integration for Alcon Vision Suite products and legacy devices. Objectives include ensuring timely installation, driving network connectivity, managing integration projects, and supporting troubleshooting for network-capable medical equipment. Responsibilities encompass project management of hardware/software integrations, stakeholder communication, data flow mapping, and user acceptance testing. The role involves leading regional processes, providing technical expertise on networking (TCP/IP, DICOM, HL7, FHIR), and supporting customer connectivity challenges. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5+ years relevant experience, including healthcare or medical industry experience preferred. Skills in networking, medical device interoperability, and troubleshooting; certifications like Cisco, DICOM, HL7, PMP are advantageous. Familiarity with healthcare standards (HIPAA, GDPR) and web services (XML/JSON) is valued. The position requires up to 25% travel, ability to work remotely, and excellent communication skills, including explaining complex concepts to diverse audiences. High-value biopharma specifics: focus on medical device connectivity, interoperability, healthcare IT, and supporting clinical/training environments. The role reports to internal teams, interacts with external customers, and involves cross-functional collaboration. Work setup is hybrid, based in Fort Worth or Lake Forest.
