Role Summary

The Dermatology Health & Science Specialist is responsible for launching new products, managing business relationships, understanding formulary access, and promoting products within assigned accounts. The role includes sales efforts and relationship development with therapeutic area specialists and key opinion leaders. The position requires strong product and disease-state knowledge, customer, market, and business acumen, and the ability to engage effectively in both virtual and in-person settings. Location: Arlington, TX region (Geography includes Arlington, Keller, South Lake, Dallas South); must live within 50 miles of the territory.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement efficient virtual/in-person engagement strategies by customer; develop and implement effective business and territory call plans; adapt based on opportunities and insights.
  • Build rapport and relationships with customers across virtual and face-to-face environments; maintain a methodical approach toward call objectives with clear next steps and appropriate documentation; use digital tools (e.g., Veeva Engage, Zoom, Microsoft Office) and adapt to new tools; leverage analytics for insights and next-best-action plans.
  • Deliver relevant, targeted messaging using approved materials to drive product demand; proactively provide insights for development of new messaging and resources.
  • Leverage product and disease state knowledge to educate providers on unbranded and branded product value propositions; utilize approved clinically oriented disease state information, as applicable.
  • Work with HCPs and office staff to plan engagements in multiple formats (virtual and in-person).
  • Strategically deploy approved Pfizer resources to support provider and patient needs (e.g., samples, vouchers, co-pay resources and patient education); integrate guidance from management and other support functions; plan day-to-day work and collaborate with CF colleagues and Pfizer Connect team.
  • Support patients’ access to Pfizer products by providing information on reimbursement, Patient Assistant Program (PAP), Pfizer hub programs, and Co-Pay Resources.
  • Present terms of sale or existing contract terms where appropriate and with approved language; answer on-label questions; introduce customers to the on-demand portal Galaxy with targeted content.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues (Field Medical, Reimbursement and Key Account Management) to address customer inquiries; use triaging protocols and digital apps to create rapid connections with SMEs.
  • Use calendaring tools, leadership goals, and customer insights to address priorities; share insights from customer surveys with leadership to improve the model.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree; minimum of 3 years of pharmaceutical/biotech or medical marketing/promotional/sales experience with leadership, or an Associate’s degree with 8+ years of experience, or a high school diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Required: History of marketing/promotional or sales success, strong territory management skills, outstanding communications, as well as demonstrated teamwork, leadership ability and accountability.
  • Required: Must live within 50 miles of the territory.
  • Required: Valid US driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards; DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify.
  • Preferred: 3-5 years specialty marketing/promotional/sales experience.
  • Preferred: Strong knowledge of disease states, therapeutic areas, and products.
  • Preferred: Deep knowledge of applicable customers and markets (prescribers/HCPs/institutions/organizations).
  • Preferred: Strategic account marketing, promotional, sales and management skills.
  • Preferred: Superior marketing, promotional, sales, technical and relationship building skills.
  • Preferred: Demonstrated track record of assessing account needs and bringing relevant information and resources to drive performance.
  • Preferred: Demonstrated track record of strong business acumen, problem solving, strategic thinking, data analytical skills and project management skills, as well as excellent planning and prioritization skills.
  • Preferred: Demonstrated ability to engage, influence and support customers throughout the marketing, promotional and sales process; excellent communication and interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Preferred: Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and embrace new ways of working in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Preferred: Possess the ability to work in a matrix environment and to leverage multiple resources to meet customer needs and deliver results.
  • Preferred: Demonstrated track record of strong leadership, cross-functional leadership, collaboration, and effective utilization of available resources to drive performance.
  • Preferred: Experience working with key thought leaders or high-influence customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations preferred.
  • Preferred: Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to analyze and draw appropriate conclusions using sales data/call reporting software/applications and able to adapt to Pfizer’s technology.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; alternative experience considered per above.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel to all accounts/office locations within territory; overnight stays may be required based on territory size and business needs.
  • Geography includes Arlington, Keller, South Lake, Dallas South; must reside within 50 miles of the territory.
