Role supports Human Health with an industry-leading strategy to source and create commercial data assets to inform critical business decisions and actions. Under direction of the Data Strategy & Innovation Leader, create and implement the Human Health data asset strategy and innovation agenda within the Vaccine area (e.g., custom claims, payer, reference and subnational sales data). Independently contribute and lead a team supporting US marketing commercial Data Strategy needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain understanding of the Human Health commercial data landscape (1st/2nd/3rd party assets: HCP, consumer, payer, patient, account, etc.), including use cases and value.
- Partner with stakeholders and vendors to onboard and enable data.
- Scan for new valuable data assets and potential data partnerships.
- Conduct data needs assessments to identify gaps vs. ideal state and prioritize.
- Build and execute plans to fill gaps (acquire external assets, find partners, or initiate internal efforts for 1st party assets).
- Ingest/review external data sources with internal teams for analytics use.
- Perform data innovation analytics: data quality assessments, fit-for-purpose analyses, proof-of-concept testing.
- Collaborate with analytics and master data management teams to ensure implementation and value realization.
- Maintain productive partnerships with data providers and build high-performance cross-functional teams.
Education
- Required: BS (or equivalent) in Data Science, Math, Economics, CS, Statistics, Decision Science, Marketing, Engineering, or Public Health.
- Plus: MBA, MS, or PhD.
Required Experience/Skills
- Strong business acumen; ability to leverage data to inform commercial decisions.
- Proven ability to analyze and assess commercial value of data assets.
- Ability to collaborate with internal/external stakeholders.
- Intellectual curiosity; identify innovative approaches.
- Excellent written/oral presentation and communication; trusted-advisor capability.
- Operate effectively in dynamic/ambiguous environments.
Preferred
- Hands-on healthcare data experience and vaccine therapeutic area knowledge.
