Clinical Research and Development
Risk Based Quality Management (RBQM) Analytics Data Scientist role enabling application of advanced analytics techniques across the clinical development continuum. Drives analytics innovation and experimentation to deliver data-driven insights for complex business problems across R&D by deploying Machine Learning and Visual Analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver fit-for-purpose analytics solutions for assigned projects.
- Ensure analytical work products are consistent across projects and optimize user experience per team design principles/standards.
- Use proven statistical methodologies; experiment with and recommend additional techniques to address business problems.
- Enable data-driven insights to support assigned projects.
- Participate in functional innovation and process improvement initiatives (if assigned).
- Ensure adherence to federal/local regulations, GCPs, ICH guidelines, AbbVie SOPs, and functional quality standards.
- Identify business needs and support creation of standard KPIs, reports, and statistical analyses.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics/analytics/bioinformatics/data science or equivalent; Master’s preferred.
- 2–3 years of data science and analytics-related experience.
- Proficiency in R, Python, SQL, or other statistical packages; intermediate knowledge of statistical and data mining techniques.
- Intermediate proficiency with visualization tools (Spotfire, Tableau, Microstrategy, or equivalent).
- Machine Learning and advanced analytics experience preferred.
- Effective communication skills; ability to explain technical/analytical concepts in layman’s terms.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proven execution in fast-paced environments; ability to manage multiple priorities.
