Data Scientist, AI for Biomedical Imaging

Role: Senior Data Scientist specializing in AI-enabled image analysis within Novartis Discovery Sciences, focusing on early drug discovery projects. Responsibilities: lead development and deployment of advanced image analysis workflows for high-content and high-throughput biological imaging (cellular, organoid, tissue); partner closely with wet-lab scientists to translate biological questions into computational solutions; evaluate and benchmark AI methods including deep learning and foundation models; contribute to scalable, reproducible analysis pipelines. Requirements: PhD in computer science, AI, or related field; 3+ years applying AI to biomedical image analysis; proficiency in Python, PyTorch, and image analysis tools; experience with segmentation, phenotyping, representation learning, and evaluation strategies; excellent communication skills.
