Main Responsibilities
- Define and own the data strategy for the assigned therapeutic area.
- Align data initiatives with brand goals, KPIs, and operational priorities across marketing, sales, and field teams.
- Accountable owner for therapeutic area data products and their business impact.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of data products for commercial operations (e.g., HCP segmentation, targeting models, field performance dashboards, campaign analytics).
- Ensure data products are discoverable, trustworthy, and usable; apply product thinking (ownership, SLAs, support mechanisms).
- Define and enforce business rules, definitions, and quality standards; support federated governance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (with Legal/Compliance).
- Monitor and improve data quality (completeness/timeliness); lead issue resolution and root cause analysis.
- Partner with Digital and GTMC/analytics teams; translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Maintain documentation (metadata, lineage, usage guidelines) and support enterprise data catalogs.
- Promote data literacy via training; act as a change agent.
- Track and report business impact; use feedback loops.
- Manage domain-level budgets, vendors, tools, and staffing.
Required Skills
- Strategic thinking; data product management in life sciences.
- Therapeutic area data expertise (APLD, Rx, sales, customer data) in Immunology/Vaccines/Oncology or similar.
- Governance/compliance knowledge; data stewardship; metadata/lineage; data literacy enablement.
- Performance measurement (KPIs); budget/resource management; strong communication.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Life Sciences, Data Science, Business, or related field.
- 7+ years in commercial data management/analytics/commercial operations (life sciences).
- Experience with data mesh or domain-oriented data architecture.
- Strong background in life sciences commercial data assets and operations.
