Position Summary
The Data Integration Engineer installs automated back-end data integrations to customer EMRs, billing, data warehouses, or other systems to ingest customer healthcare data into Caris environments. Creates, manages, and optimizes ETL from internal systems to support internal analytic dashboards. Leads data discovery and validation to deliver accurate data on time.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead technical requirements gathering; define integration approach and communicate with both non-technical and technical stakeholders.
- Assemble large clinical outcome datasets for ingestion.
- Contribute to architecture and development of clinical informatics and BI infrastructure.
- Enable access to EMRs across platforms via direct DB access, FHIR, HL7, APIs, or other methods.
- Gather requirements in an agile manner and build dashboard outputs based on ETL data.
- Adhere to departmental and corporate standards; support related duties/special projects.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- 3+ years ETL programming; 3+ years relational databases.
- HL7 experience.
- Epic Beaker and/or Epic Bridges certification.
- Ability to work independently.
- ETL strategy experience with multiple data sources, especially EMRs.
- Ability to assemble/query complex database data and analyze results.
- Relational DB experience: Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general Internet use.

Preferred Qualifications
- ETL/dashboard analytics experience (3+ years), preferably healthcare.
- JavaScript; Mirth Connect/CloverETL (or similar).
- Leadership, communication, teamwork, customer service focus.
