Position Summary
Data Integration Engineer to install back-end automated integrations that ingest customer healthcare data into Caris environments; create, manage, and optimize ETL to support internal analytic dashboards; lead data discovery and validation for timely, accurate delivery.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead technical requirements gathering and define integration approaches; communicate with business and technical stakeholders.
- Assemble large clinical outcome datasets for ingestion into Caris systems.
- Contribute to architecture/design of clinical informatics and BI infrastructure based on business requirements.
- Enable access to electronic medical records via direct DB access, FHIR, HL7, APIs, or other methods.
- Use agile processes to build dashboard outputs from ETL-sourced data.
- Adhere to documented departmental/corporate standards; assist with related duties/projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 3+ years ETL programming.
- 3+ years relational database experience.
- HL7 experience.
- Epic Beaker and/or Epic Bridges certification.
- Ability to work independently troubleshooting application software.
- Experience with external access and ETL strategies across multiple EMR data sources.
- Ability to assemble/query complex data and perform in-depth analysis.
- Relational DBs (Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general business internet use.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced IT/security architecture knowledge and system life-cycle phases.
- 3+ years ETL in analytic/dashboard environments (preferably healthcare).
- JavaScript scripting.
- ETL tools (e.g., Mirth Connect, CloverETL).
- Strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and customer service.
