Position Summary
The Data Integration Engineer installs back-end automated data integrations to ingest customer healthcare data (e.g., electronic medical records, billing, data warehouses) into Caris environments. Creates, manages, and optimizes ETL from internal systems to support internal analytic dashboards. Leads data discovery and validation projects to ensure accurate, timely data for business users.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead technical requirements gathering and define integration approaches; translate between business and technical stakeholders.
- Assemble large clinical outcome datasets for ingestion.
- Contribute to architecture/design of clinical informatics and BI infrastructure.
- Establish access to EMRs via direct DB access, FHIR, HL7, APIs, or other methods.
- Gather business requirements in agile sprints; build dashboard outputs based on ETL data.
- Adhere to departmental/corporate standards; assist with related duties/special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (related field).
- 3+ years ETL programming.
- 3+ years relational databases.
- Experience with HL7.
- Certified in Epic Beaker and/or Epic Bridges.
- Independent problem-solving.
- ETL strategy experience across multiple data sources, especially EMR systems.
- Ability to assemble/query complex data; perform analysis.
- Relational DBs: Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet for business.

Preferred Qualifications
- Strong IT/security architecture and system lifecycle knowledge.
- 3+ years ETL in analytics/dashboard environments (healthcare preferred).
- JavaScript scripting.
- ETL tools: Mirth Connect, CloverETL, or similar.
- Leadership, communication, teamwork, customer-service focus.
