Position Summary
The Data Integration Engineer installs automated back-end data integrations to ingest customer healthcare data (e.g., electronic medical records, billing, data warehouses, other customer systems) into Caris environments. They create, manage, and optimize ETL from internal data systems to support internal analytic dashboards, and lead data discovery/validation to deliver accurate data on time.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead technical requirements gathering and define integration approaches; translate between business leaders and technical owners.
- Assemble large clinical outcome datasets for ingestion into Caris systems.
- Contribute to architecture/design for clinical informatics and business intelligence infrastructure.
- Establish EMR access across platforms using database access, FHIR, HL7, APIs, and/or other methods.
- Work with users in an agile manner to build dashboard outputs from ETL-sourced data.
- Adhere to departmental and corporate standards; assist with related duties/special projects.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (related field).
- 3+ years ETL programming.
- 3+ years relational databases.
- HL7 experience.
- Certified in Epic Beaker and/or Epic Bridges.
- Independent problem-solving.
- ETL strategy experience across multiple data sources (EMR systems).
- Ability to assemble/query complex data and perform in-depth analysis.
- Relational DB experience: Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general internet use.

Preferred Qualifications
- IT/security architecture and system life-cycle experience.
- 3+ years ETL in analytic/dashboard environments (healthcare preferred).
- JavaScript scripting.
- ETL tools: Mirth Connect, CloverETL, or similar.
- Leadership, communication, teamwork, customer service focus.
