Position Summary
- Install and support automated back-end data integrations to customer systems (e.g., electronic medical records, billing, data warehouses) to ingest healthcare data into Caris environments.
- Create, manage, and optimize ETL from internal data systems to enable internal analytic dashboards.
- Lead data discovery and validation projects to deliver accurate data to business users in a timely manner.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead technical requirements gathering and define integration approaches; communicate technical concepts to business leaders and business requirements to technical owners.
- Assemble and prepare large clinical outcome datasets for ingestion.
- Contribute to architecture/design of clinical informatics and BI infrastructure.
- Establish EMR access across platforms via direct DB access, FHIR, HL7, APIs, or other methods.
- Gather business requirements in an agile process and build dashboard outputs from ETL.
- Adhere to documented departmental and corporate standards; support related duties and special projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 3+ years ETL programming; 3+ years relational database experience.
- HL7 experience.
- Epic Beaker and/or Epic Bridges certification.
- Independent problem-solving ability.
- ETL strategies with multiple data sources, especially EMR systems.
- Ability to assemble/query complex data and perform in-depth analysis.
- Relational DB experience (e.g., Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general internet use.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced IT/security architecture and system life-cycle knowledge.
- 3+ years ETL for analytics/dashboard environments (preferably healthcare).
- JavaScript scripting skills.
- ETL tool experience (e.g., Mirth Connect, CloverETL).
- Leadership, communication, teamwork, customer service focus.
