Position Summary
The Data Integration Engineer will install automated back-end data integrations to customer electronic medical records, billing, data warehouses, or other customer systems to ingest healthcare data into Caris environments. They will create, manage, and optimize ETL from internal data systems to support internal analytic dashboards, and lead data discovery/validation to deliver accurate data on time.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead technical requirements gathering and define integration approaches; communicate technical processes to non-technical leaders.
- Assemble and organize large clinical outcome datasets for ingestion.
- Contribute to architecture for clinical informatics and business intelligence infrastructure.
- Establish EMR access across platforms using direct DB access, FHIR, HL7, APIs, and other methods.
- Gather business requirements in an agile process to build dashboard outputs based on ETL data.
- Adhere to documented departmental and corporate standards.
- Assist with related duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 3+ years ETL programming.
- 3+ years relational databases.
- HL7 experience.
- Epic Beaker and/or Epic Bridges certification.
- Ability to work independently solving software/application problems.
- ETL strategy experience across multiple data sources/EMR systems.
- Ability to assemble/query complex database data and perform analysis.
- Relational DBs incl. Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Outlook) and internet for business.

Preferred Qualifications
- Security architecture and system life-cycle knowledge.
- 3+ years ETL in an analytic/dashboard environment (healthcare preferred).
- JavaScript skills.
- ETL tools: Mirth Connect, CloverETL, or similar.
- Strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and customer service.
- Results/quality/continuous improvement mindset.
