Position Summary
The Data Integration Engineer installs back-end automated data integrations to ingest customer healthcare data into Caris environments and leads ETL from internal systems to support internal analytic dashboards. They lead data discovery and validation to ensure accurate, timely delivery for business users.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead technical requirements gathering; establish integration approaches; translate between business needs and technical execution.
- Assemble and organize large clinical outcome datasets for ingestion.
- Contribute to architecture/design and development of clinical informatics & BI infrastructure.
- Enable access to electronic medical records via direct DB access, FHIR, HL7, APIs, or other methods.
- Work in agile fashion with users to build dashboard outputs based on ETL-sourced data.
- Adhere to documented departmental/corporate standards; assist with related duties/special projects.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (related field).
- 3+ years ETL programming.
- 3+ years relational database experience.
- HL7 experience; Epic Beaker and/or Epic Bridges certification.
- Ability to work independently troubleshooting application software.
- ETL strategies across multiple data sources (EMR systems); ability to assemble/query complex data and perform in-depth analysis.
- Relational DBs (e.g., Microsoft SQL, MySQL).
- Proficient Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and business Internet use.

Preferred Qualifications
- IT/security architecture/system lifecycle knowledge.
- 3+ years ETL in analytic/dashboard environment (healthcare data preferred).
- JavaScript; Mirth Connect/CloverETL or similar tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and customer service.
