Position Summary
The Data Integration Engineer will install back-end, automated data integrations to customer electronic medical records, billing, data warehouses or other customer systems to ingest healthcare data into Caris environments. They will create, manage, and optimize ETL from multiple internal data systems to support internal analytic dashboards, and lead data discovery/validation to deliver accurate data in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead technical requirements gathering and define integration approaches; communicate clearly with non-technical and technical stakeholders.
- Assemble large clinical outcome datasets and organize data for ingestion.
- Contribute to architecture for clinical informatics and BI infrastructure; plan technology to meet business requirements.
- Establish EMR access using direct database access, FHIR, HL7, APIs, or other methods.
- Gather requirements and work in agile fashion to build dashboard outputs based on ETL-sourced data.
- Adhere to documented departmental/corporate standards; assist with related duties/special projects.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- 3+ years ETL programming.
- 3+ years relational database experience.
- Experience with HL7.
- Certified in Epic Beaker and/or Epic Bridges.
- Ability to work independently on application software problems.
- Experience defining ETL strategies across multiple data sources/EMR systems.
- Ability to assemble/query complex data and perform in-depth analysis.
- Relational DB experience (Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic business internet use.

Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced IT/security architecture and system lifecycle knowledge.
- 3+ years ETL in analytics/dashboard environment (healthcare preferred).
- JavaScript scripting/programming.
- ETL tool experience (e.g., Mirth Connect, CloverETL).
- Strong leadership, communication, customer service, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
