Position Summary:
The Data Integration Engineer installs back-end automated data integrations to ingest customer healthcare data into Caris environments and helps create, manage, and optimize ETL from internal systems to support internal analytic dashboards. They lead data discovery and validation projects to ensure accurate, timely data delivery.

Job Responsibilities:
- Lead technical requirements gathering and define integration approaches; communicate between business and technology teams.
- Assemble large clinical outcome datasets for ingestion into Caris systems.
- Contribute to architectural design/development of clinical informatics and BI infrastructure.
- Establish access to electronic medical records via direct DB access, FHIR, HL7, APIs, or other methods.
- Gather business requirements and work in an agile fashion to build dashboard outputs using ETL-sourced data.
- Adhere to documented departmental and corporate standards.
- Assist with related duties and special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 3+ years ETL programming.
- 3+ years relational database experience.
- HL7 experience.
- Epic Beaker and/or Epic Bridges certification.
- Ability to work independently solving application software problems.
- Experience designing ETL strategies across multiple EMR data sources.
- Ability to assemble/query complex data; perform in-depth analysis.
- Relational DB experience: Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic Internet use for business.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced IT/security architecture and system lifecycle knowledge.
- 3+ years ETL in analytic/dashboard environments (preferably healthcare).
- JavaScript scripting skills.
- ETL deployment experience with Mirth Connect and/or CloverETL (or similar).
- Strong leadership, communication, teamwork, customer service, and continuous improvement skills.
