Position Summary
The Data Integration Engineer will install automated back-end data integrations to customer electronic medical records, billing, data warehouses, or other customer systems to ingest healthcare data into Caris environments. They will create, manage, and optimize ETL from internal data systems to support internal analytic dashboards, and lead data discovery and validation to deliver accurate data for business users.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead technical requirements gathering and define integration approaches; communicate with non-technical business leaders.
- Assemble large clinical outcomes datasets for ingestion into Caris systems.
- Contribute to the design and development of clinical informatics and BI infrastructure.
- Establish access to EMRs via direct database access, FHIR, HL7, APIs, or other methods.
- Gather requirements and work in agile fashion to build dashboard outputs from ETL-sourced data.
- Adhere to departmental and corporate standards.
- Assist with related duties and special projects as required.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 3+ years ETL programming; 3+ years relational database experience.
- Experience with HL7.
- Certified in Epic Beaker and/or Epic Bridges.
- Ability to work independently; establish external access and ETL strategies across multiple data sources.
- Ability to assemble/query complex data; perform in-depth analysis.
- Working experience with Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general business Internet use.

Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced IT/security architecture and system life-cycle knowledge.
- 3+ years ETL for analytics/dashboarding (preferably healthcare data).
- JavaScript scripting/programming.
- ETL tool experience (e.g., Mirth Connect, CloverETL).
- Strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and customer service.
