Position Summary
The Data Integration Engineer will install automated back-end data integrations to customer electronic medical records, billing, data warehouses, or other customer systems to ingest healthcare data into Caris environments. They will create, manage, and optimize ETL from internal data systems to support internal analytic dashboards and lead data discovery/validation to ensure accurate, timely data delivery.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead technical requirements gathering and define integration approaches; communicate between business leaders and technical owners.
- Assemble large clinical outcome datasets for ingestion into Caris systems.
- Contribute to architecture, design, and development of clinical informatics and BI infrastructure.
- Establish access to EMRs across platforms using direct DB access, FHIR, HL7, APIs, and/or other methods.
- Work in an agile manner with users to build dashboard outputs based on ETL-sourced data.
- Adhere to documented departmental/corporate standards; assist with related duties and projects.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 3+ years ETL programming; 3+ years relational database experience.
- HL7 experience.
- Certified in Epic Beaker and/or Epic Bridges.
- Ability to work independently solving software problems.
- Experience with external access and ETL strategies across varied EMR systems.
- Ability to assemble/query complex database data and perform deep analysis.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and business Internet use.

Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced IT, security architecture, and system life-cycle knowledge.
- 3+ years ETL in analytic/dashboard environments (preferably healthcare).
- JavaScript programming/scripting.
- ETL tool familiarity (e.g., Mirth Connect, CloverETL).
- Strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and customer service.
