Position Summary
The Data Integration Engineer will install automated back-end data integrations to ingest customer healthcare data into Caris environments, create/manage/optimize ETL from internal systems to support analytic dashboards, and lead data discovery/validation to ensure accurate, timely delivery for business users.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead technical requirements gathering and define integration approaches; translate between non-technical business leaders and technical owners.
- Assemble and organize large clinical outcome datasets for ingestion.
- Contribute to architecture/design and development of clinical informatics and BI infrastructure.
- Establish EMR access across platforms via direct DB access, FHIR, HL7, APIs, or other methods.
- Work in an agile fashion with users to build dashboard outputs from ETL-sourced data.
- Adhere to documented departmental and corporate standards; assist with related duties/special projects.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 3+ years ETL programming.
- 3+ years relational database experience.
- HL7 experience.
- Epic Beaker and/or Epic Bridges certification.
- Ability to work independently solving application software problems.
- Experience defining external access and ETL strategies across EMR/EHR data sources.
- Ability to assemble/query complex data, perform analysis, and interpret computational data.
- Relational DB experience (e.g., Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general internet use.

Preferred Qualifications
- Security architecture/IT technology and system life-cycle knowledge.
- 3+ years ETL in analytics/dashboard environments (healthcare preferred).
- JavaScript scripting/programming skills.
- Experience with Mirth Connect, CloverETL, and/or other ETL tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and customer service focus.
