Position Summary
The Data Integration Engineer will install automated back-end data integrations to customer electronic medical records, billing, data warehouses, or other customer systems to ingest healthcare data into Caris environments. They will create, manage, and optimize ETL from internal systems to support internal analytic dashboards and lead data discovery/validation to ensure accurate, timely delivery to business users.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead technical requirements gathering and define integration approaches; translate between business and technical stakeholders.
- Assemble and prepare large clinical outcome datasets for ingestion.
- Design/develop clinical informatics and business intelligence infrastructure.
- Enable access to EMR data using direct DB access, FHIR, HL7, APIs, or other methods.
- Work with users in an agile environment to build dashboard outputs using ETL-sourced data.
- Follow documented departmental/corporate standards; assist with related duties/special projects.

Required Qualifications / Skills
- Bachelor’s degree (related field).
- 3+ years ETL programming; 3+ years relational databases.
- HL7 experience.
- Epic Beaker and/or Epic Bridges certification.
- Ability to work independently and solve application/software problems.
- ETL strategy experience across multiple data sources (EMR systems).
- Ability to assemble/query complex database data and analyze computational data.
- Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic Internet for business use.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills
- IT/security architecture and system life-cycle experience.
- 3+ years ETL in analytics/dashboard environments (healthcare preferred).
- JavaScript scripting.
- ETL tool experience (Mirth Connect, CloverETL, or similar).
- Strong leadership, communication, customer service, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
