Position Summary
- Install back-end, automated data integrations to customer electronic medical records, billing, data warehouses, or other customer systems to ingest healthcare data into Caris environments.
- Create, manage, and optimize ETL from multiple internal systems to support internal analytic dashboards.
- Lead data discovery and validation projects to deliver accurate data to business users in a timely manner.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead technical requirements gathering and define integration approaches; clearly communicate with non-technical business leaders.
- Assemble and organize large clinical outcome datasets for ingestion.
- Contribute to architecture and development of clinical informatics and business intelligence infrastructure.
- Establish access to EMRs via direct database access, FHIR, HL7, APIs, or other methods.
- Gather business requirements and build dashboard outputs from ETL-sourced data in an agile manner.
- Adhere to documented departmental and corporate standards; assist with related duties and special projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- 3+ years ETL programming.
- 3+ years relational database experience.
- HL7 experience.
- Epic Beaker and/or Epic Bridges certification.
- Independent problem-solving ability.
- ETL strategy experience with multiple data sources (including EMR systems).
- Ability to assemble/query complex data and perform analysis.
- Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years ETL in an analytic/dashboard environment (healthcare preferred).
- JavaScript scripting/programming.
- ETL tooling experience (e.g., Mirth Connect, CloverETL).
- Leadership, communication, teamwork, and customer service focus.
