Position Summary
The Data Integration Engineer installs automated back-end data integrations to ingest customer healthcare data into applicable Caris environments, and creates, manages, and optimizes ETL foundations for internal analytic dashboards. Leads data discovery and validation to ensure accurate, timely delivery for business users.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead technical requirements gathering and define integration approaches; communicate technical processes to non-technical leaders and business requirements to technical teams.
- Assemble large clinical outcomes datasets for ingestion into Caris systems.
- Contribute to architectural design and development of clinical informatics and BI infrastructure.
- Establish access to electronic medical records using database access, FHIR, HL7, APIs, or other methods.
- Gather business requirements and build dashboard outputs using agile ETL-sourced data.
- Adhere to documented departmental and corporate standards.
- Assist with related duties and special projects as required.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 3+ years ETL programming.
- 3+ years relational databases.
- HL7 experience.
- Certified in Epic Beaker and/or Epic Bridges.
- Ability to work independently solving application software problems.
- Experience with external access + ETL strategies across multiple EMR/data sources.
- Ability to assemble/query complex data and perform in-depth analysis.
- Relational DB experience (Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general internet use.

Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced IT/security architecture and system life-cycle knowledge.
- 3+ years ETL in analytic/dashboard environment (healthcare preferred).
- JavaScript scripting/programming.
- ETL tool experience (Mirth Connect, CloverETL, or similar).
- Strong leadership, communication, customer service, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
