Position Summary
The Data Integration Engineer installs automated back-end data integrations to customer electronic medical records, billing, data warehouses, and other systems to ingest healthcare data into Caris environments. Creates, manages, and optimizes ETL to support internal analytic dashboards and leads data discovery/validation for timely, accurate delivery.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead technical requirements gathering and define integration approaches; translate between business and technical teams.
- Assemble large clinical outcome datasets for ingestion.
- Design and develop clinical informatics and BI infrastructure based on business needs.
- Enable EMR access via direct DB access, FHIR, HL7, APIs, or other methods.
- Work in agile teams to build dashboard outputs from ETL-sourced data.
- Follow documented departmental and corporate standards; assist with related duties/special projects.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (related field).
- 3+ years ETL programming; 3+ years relational database experience.
- HL7 experience; Epic Beaker and/or Epic Bridges certification.
- Ability to work independently; establish external access and ETL strategies across EMR data sources.
- Ability to query/analyze complex database data.
- Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic internet use.

Preferred Qualifications
- IT/security architecture and system life-cycle knowledge.
- 3+ years ETL in analytics/dashboard environment (healthcare preferred).
- JavaScript scripting; ETL tool experience (e.g., Mirth Connect, CloverETL).
- Leadership, communication, teamwork, and customer service focus.
