Position Summary
The Data Integration Engineer will install back-end, automated data integrations to customer electronic medical records, billing, data warehouses, or other customer systems to ingest healthcare data into Caris environments. They will create, manage, and optimize ETL from internal data systems to support internal analytic dashboards and lead data discovery/validation to ensure accurate, timely delivery.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead technical requirements gathering and define integration approaches; translate between business leaders and technical owners.
- Assemble large datasets of clinical outcomes for ingestion into Caris systems.
- Contribute to architectural design/development of clinical informatics and BI infrastructure.
- Establish access to electronic medical records using direct database access, FHIR, HL7, APIs, or other methods.
- Gather business requirements in an agile manner and build dashboard outputs based on ETL.
- Adhere to documented departmental and corporate standards.
- Assist with related duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 3+ years ETL programming.
- 3+ years relational database experience.
- Experience with HL7.
- Certified in Epic Beaker and/or Epic Bridges.
- Ability to work independently on application software problems.
- Experience establishing external access and ETL strategies across multiple data sources (especially EMR systems).
- Ability to assemble/query complex database data and perform in-depth analysis.
- Working experience with Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and business Internet use.

Preferred Qualifications
- IT/security architecture knowledge and system lifecycle experience.
- 3+ years ETL in analytics/dashboard environments (preferably healthcare).
- JavaScript scripting/programming.
- ETL deployment experience with Mirth Connect, CloverETL, or similar tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and customer service focus.
