Position Summary
The Data Integration Engineer will install automated back-end data integrations to ingest customer healthcare data into Caris environments, and create/manage/optimize ETL from internal systems to support analytic dashboards. They will lead data discovery and validation to ensure accurate, timely delivery for business users.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead technical requirements gathering and define integration approaches; communicate effectively between business and technical stakeholders.
- Assemble large clinical outcome datasets for ingestion.
- Contribute to architecture/design and development of clinical informatics and BI infrastructure.
- Establish access to electronic medical records via direct database access, FHIR, HL7, APIs, and/or other methods.
- Work in an agile manner to build dashboard outputs based on ETL-sourced data.
- Adhere to departmental/corporate standards.
- Assist with related duties and special projects as needed; accept other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 3+ years ETL programming.
- 3+ years relational database experience.
- HL7 experience.
- Certified in Epic Beaker and/or Epic Bridges.
- Ability to work independently solving application software problems.
- Experience creating ETL strategies across multiple data sources, especially EMR systems.
- Ability to assemble/query complex data and perform in-depth analysis.
- Relational DB experience: Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic business internet use.

Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced IT/security architecture knowledge and system life-cycle experience.
- 3+ years ETL in an analytic/dashboard environment (preferably healthcare).
- JavaScript scripting/programming.
- Experience deploying ETL solutions with Mirth Connect, CloverETL, and/or other tools.
- Strong leadership, teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.
