Position Summary
The Data Integration Engineer installs automated back-end data integrations to customer electronic medical records, billing, data warehouses, or other systems to ingest healthcare data into Caris environments. They create, manage, and optimize ETL from internal systems to support internal analytic dashboards, and lead data discovery/validation for timely, accurate delivery.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead technical requirements gathering and define integration approaches; communicate between business and technical stakeholders.
- Assemble large datasets of clinical outcomes for ingestion into Caris systems.
- Contribute to architecture/design of clinical informatics and BI infrastructure.
- Establish access to electronic medical records using database access, FHIR, HL7, APIs, or other methods.
- Gather business requirements and build dashboard outputs using agile ETL-sourced data.
- Adhere to documented departmental/corporate standards.
- Assist with related duties and special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- 3+ years ETL programming.
- 3+ years relational database experience.
- Experience with HL7.
- Certified in Epic Beaker and/or Epic Bridges.
- Ability to work independently on application/software problems.
- Experience creating ETL strategies across multiple data sources (EMRs).
- Ability to assemble/query complex database data and perform in-depth analysis.
- Relational DBs: Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet for business.

Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced IT/security architecture and system life-cycle knowledge.
- 3+ years ETL in analytic/dashboard environments (healthcare preferred).
- JavaScript programming/scripting.
- ETL tools: Mirth Connect, CloverETL, or similar.
- Strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and customer service.
