Position Summary
The Data Integration Engineer will install automated data integrations to customer electronic medical records, billing, data warehouses, or other customer systems to ingest healthcare data into Caris environments. They will create, manage, and optimize ETL from internal data systems to support internal analytic dashboards, and lead data discovery and validation to ensure accurate, timely delivery.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead technical requirements gathering and define integration approaches; communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Assemble and organize large clinical outcome datasets for ingestion.
- Design and develop clinical informatics and BI infrastructure aligned to business needs.
- Enable EMR access using direct database access, FHIR, HL7, APIs, or other methods.
- Work in an agile manner with users to build dashboard outputs from ETL-sourced data.
- Adhere to documented departmental and corporate standards.
- Assist with related duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 3+ years ETL programming.
- 3+ years relational database experience.
- HL7 experience.
- Epic Beaker and/or Epic Bridges certification.
- Ability to work independently solving software/application problems.
- Experience defining ETL strategies across multiple EMR data sources.
- Ability to assemble/query complex data and perform in-depth analysis.
- Relational databases: Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL.
- Proficient Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic Internet use for business.

Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced IT/security architecture knowledge and system lifecycle experience.
- 3+ years ETL in analytics/dashboard environments (preferably healthcare).
- JavaScript programming/scripting.
- Experience deploying ETL solutions (e.g., Mirth Connect, CloverETL, other tools).
- Strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and customer service focus.
