Position Summary
- Install automated back-end data integrations to ingest customer healthcare data (e.g., EMRs, billing, data warehouses, or other systems) into Caris environments.
- Create, manage, and optimize ETL from internal systems to support analytic dashboards.
- Lead data discovery and validation to ensure accurate, timely delivery for business users.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead technical requirements gathering and define integration approaches; translate technical processes for business leaders and business requirements for technical owners.
- Assemble large clinical outcome datasets for ingestion.
- Contribute to architecture/design of clinical informatics and business intelligence infrastructure.
- Establish EMR access via direct DB access, FHIR, HL7, APIs, or other methods.
- Gather business requirements in an agile manner to build dashboard outputs based on ETL data.
- Adhere to documented departmental and corporate standards.
- Assist with related duties/special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- 3+ years ETL programming.
- 3+ years relational databases.
- Experience with HL7.
- Certified in Epic Beaker and/or Epic Bridges.
- Ability to work independently solving application software problems.
- Experience designing ETL strategies across multiple EMR/data source types.
- Ability to assemble/query complex data and perform in-depth analysis.
- Relational databases: Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL.
- Proficient Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and business Internet use.
Preferred Qualifications
- IT/security architecture and system life-cycle knowledge.
- 3+ years ETL in analytic/dashboard environments (preferably healthcare).
- JavaScript programming/scripting.
- ETL tools: Mirth Connect, CloverETL, and/or other ETL tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and customer service focus.
