Position Summary
The Data Integration Engineer will install automated back-end data integrations to customer electronic medical records, billing, data warehouses, or other customer systems to ingest healthcare data into Caris environments. They will create, manage, and optimize ETL from multiple internal systems to support analytic dashboards and will lead data discovery/validation to ensure accurate, timely delivery to business users.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead technical requirements gathering and define integration approaches; translate between business and technical teams.
- Assemble large clinical outcomes datasets for ingestion into Caris systems.
- Design and develop clinical informatics/business intelligence infrastructure based on business requirements.
- Establish access to electronic medical records via database access, FHIR, HL7, APIs, or other methods.
- Gather requirements in an agile process and build dashboard outputs from ETL-sourced data.
- Adhere to departmental/corporate standards.
- Assist with related duties and special projects as required.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- 3+ years ETL programming.
- 3+ years relational database experience.
- HL7 experience.
- Certified in Epic Beaker and/or Epic Bridges.
- Ability to work independently solving application software problems.
- Experience defining external access and ETL strategies across multiple EMR data sources.
- Ability to query complex data, analyze, and interpret computational data.
- Relational databases: Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general internet business use.

Preferred Qualifications
- Strong IT/security architecture and system life-cycle knowledge.
- 3+ years ETL for analytic/dashboard environments (healthcare preferred).
- JavaScript scripting/programming.
- Experience deploying ETL with Mirth Connect, CloverETL, or similar tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
