Data Engineer (Hybrid)

Role: Data Engineer supporting clinical R&D at AbbVie, focusing on designing scalable data pipelines for modeling, simulation, and digital twin initiatives. Responsibilities: collaborate with statisticians and data scientists to enable efficient data flow, develop and maintain architectures supporting modeling and analytics, build data products for transformation and metadata extraction, implement automated quality control processes, and contribute to tool discovery and pipeline improvements. Ensure compliance with GxP, GCP, ICH, and local regulations. Qualifications: MS or PhD in a quantitative field with 2-3 years of experience; 1+ year experience with AI frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, LangChain), programming languages (Python, Java, Scala), and Big Data tools including SQL. Preferred: AWS experience, visualization in R Shiny or Plotly Dash, fluency with structured/unstructured data, biotech/pharma experience.
