Role Responsibilities:
- Develop, deploy, and operate production-grade Nextflow pipelines on cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalable and reproducible execution.
- Own pipeline lifecycle management, including upgrades, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and reliability improvements for reusable workflows.
- Implement DevOps best practices for pipelines and platform services (e.g., CI/CD, automation, engineering tooling).
- Partner with wet-lab and research scientists to translate data analysis requirements into robust, production-ready pipeline and platform solutions.
- Develop and evolve an omics data platform to enable efficient, scalable processing and delivery of omics datasets as reliable data products.
- Drive collaborations with external partners and vendors to strengthen pipeline quality, sustainability, and adoption of best practices.

Basic Qualifications:
- PhD in Computational Biology, Biology, Physics, Statistics, or related technical discipline.
- OR MS in related discipline plus at least 2 years developing data products and data integration solutions in research or industry.
- Single-cell/NGS, functional genomics, genetics, or proteomics data analysis experience.
- Hands-on experience developing Nextflow pipelines for processing NGS data.
- Strong full-stack programming skills focused on Python.
- Experience solving complex analyses/problems in a timely fashion.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest in life sciences, pharmaceutical research, drug discovery, or bioinformatics.
- Software engineering best practices (python package development, DevOps, cloud architectures, CI/CD, engineering tooling).
- Experience with large heterogeneous data sets in drug discovery.
- Experience with Claude Code (or equivalent).
- Strong publication record.

Work Location: Hybrid; live within commuting distance and work on-site an average of 2.5 days/week or more as needed. Relocation support available.

Benefits/Compensation (as stated): Base salary range $106,000–$176,600; bonus target 15% plus eligibility for share-based long-term incentive; 401(k) with matching, paid vacation/holidays/personal days, caregiver/parental and medical leave, and medical/prescription/dental/vision coverage.
