Position Summary
The candidate will help develop advanced-analytics capabilities to enhance Zoetis’ go-to-market sales strategy. Responsibilities include shaping core data capabilities that support use cases such as revenue generation and detecting/preventing customer defection, supporting data quality and governance (e.g., master data management), and assisting data engineering with advanced analytics on internal and external data to solve complex business problems (US Petcare).

Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and implement database solutions for optimal data pipeline architecture (SQL Server, Oracle, Salesforce, Python, Big Data).
- Develop, construct, test, and maintain US commercial data layers to enable modeling.
- Collaborate with data scientists to iterate on model building and deployment.
- Support data quality, integrity, and documentation for data governance.
- Automate processes to increase productivity for the US commercial data/analytics team.
- Develop and implement controls for data integrity and regulatory compliance (SOX).
- Package and support new code releases in Azure.
- Drive innovation (e.g., Databricks development efficiencies).
- Monitor production schedule and remediate job failures.
- Provide support to resolve complex issues and to business users.

Education and Experience (Qualifications)
- Master’s in CS/IT/EE or related field.
- 3+ years as a Data Engineer.
- Deep experience with deployed data pipelines/ETL and large-scale databases.
- Experience working with data scientists on predictive/optimization models (incl. feature engineering).
- Strong communication skills; English fluency.

Technical Skill Requirements
- Cloud/distributed data tech (e.g., Amazon S3, Redshift, Azure Storage, HDFS).
- SQL and at least one: Python/Scala/Java.
- ETL/data pipeline tools (Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Airflow, DBT, Prefect).
- Hadoop/Spark; predictive modeling in Python (Pandas/PySpark) or R.
- Git; DevOps/model deployment experience (plus) and Microsoft stack preferred.

Benefits/Compensation (if included)
- Base salary range (US): $105,000–$151,000.

Location
- Parsippany, NJ preferred; remote considered.
