Cytotechnologist

Role: Cytotechnologist at Labcorp, responsible for screening and evaluating gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens, including liquid-based and conventional slides, to identify abnormal or malignant conditions. Responsibilities include assisting with Fine Needle Aspirations, documenting workload per CLIA standards, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining laboratory safety and compliance. Qualifications: Bachelor's in Chemical/Biological sciences, Cytology Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology; completion of a Cytology program; ASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) certification. Preferred: Master's in Cytology, 3+ months of cytology experience, ThinPrep and SurePath certifications. High-value specifics: high-volume clinical lab setting, proficiency with automated/non-automated cytology testing, familiarity with laboratory information systems, and adherence to clinical laboratory standards. Work setup: onsite at Henry Ford St John Hospital in MI, Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm, with flexibility for overtime or shift adjustments.
