Cybersecurity Engineering Co-op

Role: Support cybersecurity efforts within Bayer Radiology by analyzing vulnerabilities, assessing risks, and developing mitigation solutions for medical devices and software. Responsibilities: assist in cybersecurity design reviews, learn product interfaces and clinical applications, support vulnerability testing and risk analyses, and communicate effectively with stakeholders including suppliers. Requirements: high school diploma or GED; pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity Engineering or related field; 2+ years of academic understanding of cybersecurity principles; familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools (Wireshark, Metasploit, Nessus); proficient in Microsoft Office; strong communication, collaboration, and customer focus skills. Preferred: prior Bayer or cybersecurity internship experience; knowledge of incident response, security architecture review, and cybersecurity standards (NIST, ISO 27001); understanding of data privacy regulations (HIPAA, GDPR).
