Cyber Defense Operations Lead

Role: Lead Cyber Defense Operations (CDO) function, overseeing security monitoring, incident response, detection engineering, and MSSP performance to mature and transform cybersecurity capabilities. Responsibilities: develop and execute CDO strategy, establish operational roles, oversee threat detection and incident coordination, manage platform operations, represent CDO requirements in security roadmaps, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, cloud, legal, and risk. Requirements: Bachelor's in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related; 15+ years in cybersecurity within private, public, government, or military sectors; proven leadership in security operations, detection, and incident response; deep knowledge of SIEM/SOAR platforms, cloud telemetry (AWS, GCP, Azure), and automation. Preferred: experience managing MSSPs, building security roadmaps, and strong communication skills.
