Customer Team Leader (CTL) โ field-based sales management role for the Knoxville district covering Knoxville, Chattanooga, Cleveland, Johnson City, and Kingsport (Tennessee).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Customer Representatives to deliver strong sales performance by identifying and addressing customer needs.
- Provide coaching and guidance to Customer Representatives.
- Oversee training programs and manage people-related processes to ensure continuous development and optimal resource allocation.
- Develop and maintain a high-performing customer team aligned with organizational goals and customer expectations.
- Travel at least 15% of the time to support team and customer engagement activities (may require occasional overnight stays).
Qualifications And Attributes:
- Ability to cultivate a high-performing sales team culture, preferably with Cardiovascular therapeutic area experience.
- Strong leadership using situational coaching and emotional intelligence; growth mindset; ability to foster trust during change.
- Communicate clearly and adapt customer engagement models in the Cardiovascular market.
- Customer-focused mindset; active listening and relationship building.
- Account planning and management; cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience building relationships with key accounts/customers in Cardiovascular sector.
- Solid understanding of Rx Pathways (prescription processes, EHRs, pharmacies, benefit design, prior authorization).
- Coaching experience in Managed Care environments; partnership with IDN and Account Management teams.
- Track record leading successful product launch teams in competitive markets.
- Leverage business analytics/technology to generate insights and coach sales teams.
Required Skills And Experience:
- Bachelorโs degree (BA/BS) and at least 5 yearsโ experience in Sales, Marketing, or Managed Care within the Pharmaceutical industry.
- Valid driverโs license.
Preferred Skills And Experience:
- Advanced degree (MBA or MS in Science/Business/Healthcare).
- 3+ years working with key thought leaders/influential customers in hospitals, large group practices, or managed care organizations.
- Field Sales Management experience and ability to manage/lead/coach sales teams (preferably Cardiovascular).
- Strong analytical mindset; experience using tools/technology for customer insights.
- Experience in Pharmaceutical/Biotech/Medical Device industries.
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships/networks in customer organizations.
