Job Summary of the Creative Operations Lead

The Creative Operations Lead serves as the central operational hub for the planning, coordination, and execution of campaign-based creative projects. This role supports marketing objectives, drives brand consistency, and ensures timely delivery of high-quality creative assets. They manage day-to-day workflows, schedules, and resources, while maintaining clear communication across internal stakeholders and creative teams. The position will also oversee creative approvals, process optimization, and campaign tracking to ensure projects are delivered on time, on brand, and aligned with business objectives. This role partners closely with internal marketing, product, and commercial teams, as well as external agencies, in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. 

Requirements of the Creative Operations Lead

The specific duties of the Creative Operations Lead include but are not limited to: 

  • Manage the overall creative project coordination, execution, and completion of campaign-based creative deliverables from intake through launch 
  • Own creative workflows and traffic processes, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and on-time delivery 
  • Lead the implementation, configuration, and ongoing management of Wrike, including building workflows, creating templates, training teams, and ensuring consistent adoption across the creative organization 
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into clear creative direction 
  • Build and maintain detailed schedules and timelines for creative teams across paid media, digital, print, web, video, and retail executions 
  • Traffic work across designers, writers, developers, and external partners based on capacity and priority 
  • Manage routing, reviews, and approvals of creative assets, ensuring accuracy, brand alignment, legal compliance, and deadline adherence 
  • Monitor progress, identify risks or bottlenecks, and proactively troubleshoot issues to keep campaigns on track 
  • Balance long-term, high-priority campaign initiatives with short-term, fast-turn requests 
  • Collaborate effectively with external vendors and internal partners to support campaign execution 
  • Ability to speak creative and production “languages” to bridge gaps between teams and streamline delivery 
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, status updates, and reporting to ensure clear, timely visibility across the Market Development and Product Management teams 
  • Support resource planning by completing assigned workload assessments and forecasting needs within the content/creative development team, providing leadership with recommendations on resource allocation and project timing to help operate our internal agency model effectively 
  • Continuously evaluate and improve processes, tools, and workflows to enhance team efficiency 

Responsibilities of the Creative Operations Lead

The specific duties of the Creative Operations Lead include but are not limited to:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with preference for Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business or similar concentration 
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in creative project management, traffic management, or production, ideally in a health care or pharma focused agency or in-house studio environment 
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships across teams and earn trust with creative and business partners
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools such as Wrike, Smartsheets, Workfront, Asana, or similar platforms 
  • Deep experience with Wrike, including building workflows, configuring systems, training teams, and driving adoption within an in‑house creative environment 
  • Familiarity with creative and agency tools, including Adobe Acrobat, file transfer systems, and basic HTML 
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort working across both Mac and PC environments, with a clear understanding of how creative‑team workflows (Adobe, file‑sharing, production tools) integrate with corporate systems in an in‑house creative setting 
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, highly matrixed organization 
  • Experience working in Veeva Vault, MedComms, or similar regulated‑content management platforms a plus 
  • Passion for contributing to work in the medical technology field that impacts patients’ lives 
  • Role requires significant computer‑based work; limited travel

This position is eligible for an annual bonus.

Salary Range
$92,293$115,367 USD

Axogen follows healthcare system guidelines with respect to credentialing, vaccinations and other employment/compliance related requirements, as well as CDC guidance. Axogen reserves the right to amend its policies from time to time in its sole discretion.
