Role Summary

Counsel for the Purpose team and the BMS Foundation within the Corporate Affairs organization. The role provides legal advice across regulatory and compliance considerations and supports senior leaders on strategy and execution to ensure compliance and cohesion.

Responsibilities

  • Advise the Health Equity team to ensure activities and initiatives are compliant within legal frameworks
  • Advise the BMS Foundation on non-profit and compliance considerations
  • Support the Patient Advocacy organization
  • Support the Corporate Giving team to establish a global strategy and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Review outputs of the teams to ensure consistency with public disclosures and compliance with legal frameworks
  • Collaborate with market legal teams and therapeutic area legal teams to apply local market legal requirements

Qualifications

  • Required: 7+ years of experience at a public company or a law firm; preference for experience in commercial pharmaceutical legal or compliance
  • Required: J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and license to practice law in the U.S
  • Required: Strong judgment, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Required: Experience supporting senior leadership and corporate transactions
