COSI Costing Senior Specialist

Position Description:
Senior Specialist responsible for maintaining, reviewing, reporting, and analyzing inventory, intercompany profit, production, and product cost data to support monthly accounting close and management cycles for one or multiple plants.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain and create product cost according to US GAAP.
- Control, analyze, and report monthly production results and source-to-settle variances; provide commentary and estimates for recurring events.
- Review and ensure accurate plant-level product cost and inventory reporting.
- Analyze and resolve in-transit inventory; determine drivers and partner to resolve.
- Analyze consolidated costs and intercompany profit differences.
- Identify and drive initiatives to improve cost control and/or efficiency.
- Meet S404 requirements by updating documentation and performing/enhancing controls.
- Analyze standard revisions globally by plant and ensure appropriate local/global accounting.
- Address entity/divisional customer inquiries on data and system issues; provide accurate financial data.
- Prepare annual profit plan for assigned plants/products and conduct idle capacity analysis.
- Participate in special/ad-hoc projects to support management analysis.
- Mentor peers and share experiences to improve knowledge and efficiency.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics (or equivalent).
- 3–5 years of relevant finance experience, preferably in manufacturing.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Production analysis in a financial system; SAP preferred.
- US GAAP account preparation experience.
- SAP knowledge.
- Strong Excel skills; FSA/Analysis-for-Office knowledge preferred.
- Organized, analytical, team-oriented; improvement mindset; innovative/adaptive; deadline-focused.
