Role Summary

Corporate Counsel, Specialty Care in Cambridge, MA. Provide strategic and transactional legal support for Sanofi’s Specialty Care products (investigational and marketed) with responsibilities across advertising and promotion, regulatory matters, and cross-functional collaboration. Focus on delivering practical legal input to advance business goals while managing legal and regulatory risk.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary legal contact for assigned products and/or business units in rare disease, oncology, immunology, rare blood disorders or neurology, reviewing advertising and promotional materials and collaborating with other practice areas and functions.
  • Partner with the business to consider, develop and execute initiatives related to the assigned products or business units.
  • Manage the review and negotiation of contracts and amendments related to the relevant product or business unit, coordinating with subject matter experts as needed.
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure adherence to Sanofi policies, monitor legislative developments, and manage internal and external resources.
  • Operate with limited supervision, exercising balanced judgment, prioritization, and a proactive approach to identifying legal issues (focusing on promotional, regulatory, and fraud and abuse matters) and proposing risk mitigations.
  • Demonstrate strategic business ownership, external awareness, impact-based counseling, proactivity, innovation, and focus on value creation in stakeholder interactions; escalate issues when appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Required: BA/BS, JD from an accredited law school, valid license to practice law (Massachusetts or New Jersey preferred); minimum 3 years of legal experience; proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, and other corporate software.
  • Preferred: Experience counseling pharma/biotech companies on FDA or other healthcare matters; experience supporting US/global legal matters related to scientific exchange and advertising/promotion of pharmaceutical products.
